Sydney Trip

Shirin & Rohan just arrived back from visiting the Mahmoudi/Fanaian family in Sydney. Here are some snaps of their trip. Enjoy!

Visiting the Baha'i House of Worship.

Rohan and his Momoni coincidently wore matching outfits!

At Grandma's house, beautiful cousins (L-R) Anisa, Vienna, Sarah & Shauna.

Vi Vi introduces Rohan to her dog Shaytoon (means cheaky/naughty in Farsi) which is totally not the case, this dog was so well behaved, even when Rohan pulled out a chunk of his fur, he didn't get upset. Lucky for Rohan!

Hang time with Khalleh Nava & cousin Saba! We had such a lovely day.

Despite their age gap, the boys played really well togather. Thanks Saba joon for making Rohan feel so welcome.. looking after him, reading him stories and even sharing you toy train xoxo

I LOVE this pic!! Was able to grab my camera in time to capture this sweet moment.

We were lucky enough to visit the Baha'i House of Worship again for a special children's service. It was truely wonderful to see so many children present. The grounds were beautifully decorated with banners made by various Baha'i children's classes, like this one!

Proud grandparents. This chinese outfit was a gift from Baba Buzurg.

Rohan hanging with the Persian men.

This was an ongoing thing.. seems Rohan just prefers his Baba Buzurg without glasses!

Fun & laughs with Diyee Korosh.

On our last day, we went for a morning swim.

Strike a pose!

Our little boy has started taking notice of cars lately and as you can see in this video is eager to get racing in one!

He's mastered the guitar, now Rohan's trying his hand at the Persian Santoor.

Ishikawa fun times

Last Wednesday we were so happy to join the wonderful Coral & Pearls class Amelia is running in her neighbourhood. She's providing such a great program for creative learning of the virtues, it was clear the children were enjoying themselves. This was Rohan's first experience of a Baha'i class and what a wonderful one it was! Thanks again Amelia xox

Rohan makes a new friend Angus!
The activity was to decorate a gift which the children would then give to someone as an act of Generosity.. but at their age, they joined in by tasting the present.

Rohan looking after Angus while his mummy was out of the room.

Photo time with lovely Shiori.

Look out - here comes a smooch!

Later at Cafe Ava, I sing Rohan a song while Shiori chill-axes.
(Best coffees & lunches in town!)

Beautiful Amelia & Shiori.

It was hearing Shiori speak to her mummy in Farsi that convinced me to start speaking to Rohan in Farsi also. Thanks cutie pie!

Ludher & Kumar

Rohan is just learning to interact with other children. Here at Sanjeev & Josceline's place he had the chance to spend a little time with beautiful Safiya Kumar.

Its a shame their faces aren't very visible in these pics but they certainly capture the moment.

Road Trip to QLD Coast

We've just arrived back in Brissy from our long trip up north. Was lots of fun, we really enjoyed the quality family time together and the summer weather.

Was lovely catching up with Troy & Camelia Perkins in Rocky, who were kind enough to host us for a night. We were so busy chatting and enjoying Camelia's cooking that we forgot to take pics with them to post.

But here are some snaps from our trip.

The Arkarra Balinese Tea Gardens, Hervey Bay..

The setting at this place is really nice, but best of all is the FOOD! Soooooo delicious!

Rohan's many swimsuits..

Daddy & son wearing matching outfits!

Our breaks from driving along the way..

Rohan enjoying an apple while on the road.

Whitsundays Day Trip

Today we made the 2 hour drive north of Mackay to Airlie Beach on the Whitsundays and as you can see from the pics - its BEAUTIFUL!! Rohan really enjoyed the water, it was his longest play in the water so far (30mins!). Enjoying the sunshine as a family.
